Jazz
Colleen Rennison & the Dulce y Baja Trio
“Sweet and low” is the soulful sound of the Dulce Y Baja jazz outfit fronted by veteran vocalist Colleen Rennison, in the tradition of lounge singers such as Julie London, Peggy Lee and Nancy Sinatra. Drawing on the beloved standards from the American Songbook, Rennison has been wowing audiences for the last 2 years since relocating from Vancouver BC to Baja with a voice that Rolling Stone describes as “timeless”.

David Cantoni Quinteto
Argentine saxophonist David Cantoni, who has been based in Mexico for several years, is an active participant in the jazz scene in both countries. He stands out not only as a jazz musician but also as a programmer of jazz events. In this performance, the quintet will present original compositions by Cantoni, blending tradition and modernity, inspired by some of his influences (Lee Konitz, Paul Desmond, Bad Plus Trio, Brad Mehldau, among others).

T'orus
Since its formation in Mexico City, T’orus has pushed musical boundaries with its unique blend of jazz, rock, and hip-hop, establishing itself as one of the most innovative bands in the contemporary scene. Their ability to fuse genres and create a sonic experience that transcends the conventional has made them a key reference in both the Mexican capital and national and international festivals. This innovative approach has led them to perform at major festivals such as the Anti Festival at the Lunario of the Auditorio Nacional, M-Jazz, and the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival.

Los Cabos Big Band
The Los Cabos Big Band is the brainchild of Terry Townson the director. Terry has been involved with big bands his entire career. After moving to Baja Sur in 2012 his passion for Big Band music drove him to form band in La Paz. He directed a successful community Big Band there for 4 years incorporating Mexicans and ex-pats. In 2022 Terry moved to Cabo San Lucas. Knowing there were many talented Mexican musicians in Cabo, early in 2024 Terry decided to start a Big Band here.

Miki Yamanaka
Japanese-born pianist Miki Yamanaka, 35, has lived in New York City since 2012, quickly rising as a leading figure in contemporary jazz. Known for her expressive touch and vibrant personality, she’s gained international acclaim through her albums, especially Shades of Rainbow, featuring top jazz musicians. Yamanaka is a fixture at NYC clubs Smalls and Mezzrow and gained further recognition during the pandemic with her weekly livestream series Miki’s Mood, highlighting jazz standards and collaborations with top New York artists.

Hernán Hecht Trío
Hernán Hecht is an acclaimed drummer, composer, producer, educator, and visual artist with an international career spanning Argentina, Mexico, the United States, and Europe. A Latin Grammy winner in 2010 for Ely Guerra’s album Hombre Invisible, he has also received multiple nominations for prestigious awards such as the Latin Grammys, Poland’s Fryderyk Awards, and Argentina’s Premios Gardel. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as John Medeski, Billy Martin, Steven Bernstein, Natalia Lafourcade, Ximena Sariñana, Pepe Aguilar, Lila Downs, and many others.

A Love Electric
A critically acclaimed psychedelic rock trio, born from various influences, with the most important being Mexico City’s jazz and creative music scene. Todd Clouser (guitar and vocals), Jorge Servín (current drummer) / Hernán Hecht (founding drummer), and Aarón Cruz (bass) have built a band that, after 13 years, has achieved remarkable consistency—creating music on their own terms and taking it around the world. A Love Electric has evolved into a rock ensemble with songs, vocals, and lyrics—while maintaining what they consider essential to jazz: the spirit of discovery, inquiry, and ambitious exploration.
